The Letters of Wise and Great Men, those especially concerned in the Publick Administration of Affairs, have been the Delight and Entertainment of the politest and best Judges in all Ages. By the Lights we receive from them, we arrive not only at an exact Knowledge of Events, but may view them in their most secret and reserved Causes from the Preface. The volumes include correspondence from Sir Henry Neville (1564-1615) England's ambassador to France from 1599 to1600. Neville had been imprisoned in the Tower of London in 1601 for his involvement in the Essex Rebellion and has in recent years emerged as a possible alternative authorship candidate for the works of William Shakespeare.: Sir Henry Neville was Shakespeare - The Evidence.
