An assembled Spode blue and white transfer decorated part dinner service in the Queen Charlotte pattern
circa 1800

Comprising eleven 9 3/4in plates; six 8in side plates; pair of covered sauce tureens; two 10 3/8in platters; one 10 1/2in platter; one 12 1/4in platter; one 15 1/2in platter and a large dished oval serving dish, length across handles 18in, some with underglaze blue Spode factory mark; together with five Copeland Spode similarly decorated 9 3/4in plates, retailed by T. Goode & Co., London, late 19th century, green printed factory mark and brown printed retailer's mark, red painted pattern 3822.

    Property from the collection of distinguished interior designer Craig Wright.
  • Condition: Overall with wear typical of use, including knife marks, scuffing, wear to gilding and some pitting and scattered staining. One sauce tureen restored and some darkening, small chip to the footrim, the other with staining to the interior and a darkened hairline to one side, approximately 2 1/2in in length, both with staining to interior footrim. Both lids with some staining to the interior rims, one with some chips to the interior flange.Large oval serving dish with heavy wear to interior basin. One 10 1/2in platter with chip to underside of rim and four stained hairlines extending from rim, ranging in length from 1/4 to 1in. One 12 1/4in platter with three hairlines at rim, approximately 1/4 to 1in in length. 8in plates: one with some staining to center and two hairlines at rim, one with some staining to rim and three hairlines at rim, one with four small hairlines at rim. 9 3/4in plates: one with heavy crazing and some darkening and hairlines at rim, two others with heavy crazing, one with three hairlines at rim and one with one hairline at rim. Copeland Spode plates: in generally good condition with some filed down popped air bubbles and scattered knife marks.
