2. Report of the Superintendent of the Coast Survey: Showing the progress of the Survey during the year 1854. A.D. Bache; U.S. Coast and Geodetic Survey. Washington DC: AOP Nicholson Public Printer, 1855. large 4to; bound in publisher's brown buckram with gilt stamped and blind titles to cover and spine; 288 pp. Illustrated by 58 plates and folding maps, 2 of the maps are early engraved work by James Abbott McNeil Whistler. first edition. Areas of interest with engraved maps of coastal regions are MA, CA, GA, VA, NH, ME, FL, NY, NC, LA, TX, OR, WA, etc.
3. The Etchings of James McNeill Whistler. 4. The Gentle Art of Making Enemies. James McNeill Whistler. NY: John W. Lovell Co., 1890. 8vo. bound in publisher's 1/2 brown cloth over paper covered boards, gilt titles to spine and cover.
5. Vedute di Pisa. engravings by Gaetano Ciuti (active ca. 1825) oblong 8vo. bound in 3/4 vellum over marbled boards. bound in are 10 engravings (plate 5 1/4 x 6 in) on wove paper of the prominent sights around Pisa, Italy. early 19th century. well inked examples though heavily foxed.
6. Samuel Butler; William Hogarth (illustrations) Hudibras in three parts. London: T.W for D. Browne, J Walthoe, etc., 1726. 12mo.The first Hogarth edition of this work, which was first published in three parts between 1663 and 1678.; first edition to feature William Hogarth's illustrations, and consists of a portrait frontispiece, eleven plates, and five folding plates; missing both front and rear boards, spine leather is chipped and with considerable loss yet book remains intact.
