  • Provenance:
    Sold Christie's, New York, 6 April 2000, lot 65.
  • Dimensions: height 24in (61cm); width 14 3/4in (37cm); depth 16 1/2in (42cm)
  • Condition: With a deep nutty brown color to timber. Structurally sound. General marks, nicks, scratches and wear commensurate with age and use. Seat ripped as visible in catalogue photo. Leather dry and faded overall. A three inch square patched repair to right side of top rail. Both arms with restoration above supports with square and circular plugs, some with painted infill. The front seat rail with ling loss at inside of front rail - cracking and possibly previously repaired.
