In the year 2000, hikers walking in the desert recovered a 1003 kg meteorite specimen near Fukang, China. Formed in the mantle of a protoplanet and representing roughly 1% of all known meteorites, Pallasites are now considered amongst the rarest in the world and also the most alluring.

This beautifully distinctive interstellar gemstone is roughly composed of 50% olivine (Earth's Peridot) and 50% Nickel-Iron with the main pallasite containing several regions of Olivine clusters up to 11 cm in diameter.

This particular full thin slice cabinet specimen showcases olivine crystals up to 1 inch in diameter within an etched Iron matrix.
