A three piece group of British and Irish sterling silver tableware
various makers

Comprising an Irish Georgian toast rack, maker's mark rubbed, Dublin, 1820, a bottle coaster, apparently unmarked, and a Scottish William IV soup ladle, James Howden & Co., Edinburgh, 1837, all with various heraldic crests.

  • Dimensions: height of toast rack 5in (12.5cm); length of ladle 13in (33cm); total weighable silver approximately 16oz troy
  • Condition: Toast rack marked to edge. Ladle marked to underside of handle. Coaster apparently unmarked as stated. Tests as silver. General marks, scratches, rubbing, tarnishing, imperfections and wear commensurate wtih age and use. Coaster with repairs and waves. Staining to timber. Not included in weight listed. Pieces engraved as stated.
