    The crest is that of the family of Lechmere.

    This toasted cheese dish was most probably in the possession of a gentleman of the family of
    Lechmere who had been settled at Hanley Castle in the County of Worcestershire
    since the 11th Century.

  • height 3 1/2 9 1/4 12 1/2 silver weight approximately 31oz troy
  • Condition:
  • Fully marked to underside. Part marked to reverse of lid. Handle unscrews. General marks, scratches, rubbing, tarnishing and wear. Engraved as stated.
